We’re just back from our incredible time at Grey Cliffs Ranch in Two Forks Montana, and our time there couldn’t have been more magical. For those of you who have never travelled to Montana, what are you waiting for? Montana is the stuff of the Oregon Trail days. In a display of wild and raw nature it is equal parts grounding and breathtaking. I am constantly enamored by the way in which the land rolls on for what seems like miles of wide open space and the sky so bright seems to be endless. It is this natural beauty that lured us for Om On Yoga’s Retreat and we were not disappointed.
We’ve arrived. Becky shows off Grey Cliffs Main House. An incredible mix of luxurious ranch retreat and cozy western charm.
We kicked off our retreat with a group dinner and toast on the wrap around porches that offer panoramic views of the Montana mountains and rolling pastoral country that surrounds the ranch.
The ranch itself sits on 1600 private acres, which we also took to exploring thru guided hikes, 4WD tours, and many strolls.
All meals were served in-house by our private chefs: Rory and Mike. And they did not disappoint. This dessert with soy milk ice cream and toasted mint leaves were a group favorite. We also got to experience a cooking class and Rory passed on his recipe for perhaps the best guacamole we’ve ever tasted.
We all got to try our hand at pottery, and decorated some beautiful pieces created by Licia, Grey Cliff’s Resident Gardener and Potter.
In addition to our daily yoga classes a couple of which we’re alfresco, we had a full day excursion to Yellowstone National Park. There we met up with our transportation for the day. With names like Dude and Flying Hawk, who could resist. We also saw some snow that day, and the trail was transformed into a winter wonderland.
No Om On Retreat would complete without a little yoga play outside.
Becky and Kelly say Goodbye for now! We’ll be returning next September 12-15, so join us then for what’s sure to be another incredible journey Out West!
